Hi! I'm Jeannette, a graduate of Robert Kennedy College.
Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I am a Rwandan married woman, with four children. I am currently working for CARE International USA as a Global Safeguarding Advisor.
Since 1998, I have worked for INGOs in both humanitarian and development context in Africa. I supported various Country Humanitarian teams in the preparedness and response to emergencies and humanitarian crises with a particular focus on Safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual harassment exploitation and abuse. I am an activist and facilitator on gender, diversity, belonging, and inclusion matters with more than twenty years of experience. I am deeply knowledgeable about how gender issues affect girls/women and I have worked very hard to challenge cultural norms. I am trained as a global PSHEA investigator, and I have conducted and supported investigations across various country humanitarian response.
Outside work, I am the chief of my father’s family and as a woman, I enjoy that role which is not common within a patriarchal system.
As a mother of 4 adolescent sons and employee in a International humanitarian organization, studying online was the best option i could afford! I had been waiting for it. I enjoyed the flexibility with lecturers as i could review recordings after work and during weekends. I really encourage all busy professionals and mothers in particular to go for this program with RKC and University of Salford! You will enjoy it!
